Community Involvement for Small Business with Kevin Nevels, a small business owner, a 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, a Taekwondo Certified Instructor, and the founder of Coppell Martial Arts and Taekwondo Training Center in Coppell, Texas. He shares his journey to becoming his own boss, and how his involvement and support of the local community has helped him grow his business.

Kevin Nevels

Kevin was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi where he took his very first Taekwondo class at age 9.

In 1997, Kevin’s family moved to Coppell, Texas. In 2004 he achieved a lifetime goal and earned his 1st Degree Black Belt. Kevin later decided to become a Taekwondo Certified Instructor, and has since earned his 5th Degree Black Belt.

After leading the Flower Mound, Texas Taekwondo Demo Team for several successful seasons, including 2nd place at the Taekwondo National Demo Team Competition, Kevin decided to open his own school, Coppell Martial Arts and Taekwondo Training Center, in Coppell, Texas.

Getting involved in your local community is a great way to build your small business and establish goodwill.
